Vacuum Insulation Panels (VIPs)

High thermal performance VIP panels provide a perfect solution for projects with height limitations.

These panels are specially designed to be utilized where space is a premium as the vacuum properties offer a very low thermal conductance which means a much thinner insulation can be used in comparison with other conventional insulation products. Vacuum Insulation consists of micro-pourous fumed silica material (silicon carbide, hydrophilic silica, and polyester fibres), contained within a vacuum sealed envelope (multi-layer aluminium foil wrapper).

Supply & Installation

VIP+ can be successfully installed in floor, wall and roof applications.

Sizes / Thicknesses Available

Board sizes range up to 1000×600 and are available in a range of thicknesses.

Thermal Performance

The product has an aged thermal conductivity of 0.007 W/mK

Fire Performance

For further details on a full system performance please contact your waterproofing system supplier / membrane manufacturer. The performance to DD CEN/TS 1187: 2012 will be reliant on the full system tested. In isolation the product is classified as European Classification F in accordance with BS EN 13501-1

Restrictions:

The metallized, multilayer plastic film of the VIP must not be damaged by drilling, cutting, milling, nailing, otherwise the internal pressure of the panel will rise, and the special properties of the panel will be lost.
